What To Do

For a short guideline covering the most important things to do during O-Week, check out what to do.

Finding your way around

Take a look at our handy map to get an idea of what the campus looks like. You'll be able to pick up a copy of the map during O-Week, so no need to print it out.

Who can help me?

Looking for help on campus? We've made a guide on who's who at O-Week so you know who you should talk to about what!

Staying safe on campus

The UNSW campus is a safe place, but it's natural to feel a little apprehensive at times. UNSW Security offer great services like a free Shuttle Bus to areas around campus, and a security escort service that will accompany you from your building to car parks or bus stops.

When you're walking around campus after dark, keep to the lighted walkway, a lit-up path which runs through the campus and is patrolled by security guards. Walk in groups or pairs, and don't take short-cuts through the poorly-lit areas of campus.

If you need to get in touch with UNSW Security for any reason, Help Points are located throughout the campus. Press the button on these and you will immediately be put in touch with security. You can also call security on their emergency phone number - (02) 9385 6666.
